Ski Chardon Bleu

We, Jane and Simon Lambert, set up Ski-Chardon Bleu in 1998 as a vehicle to provide a complete ski holiday experience in our own chalet, le Chardon Bleu in Mottaret.  Our underlying aim is to combine the intimacy of your own personal space with excellent cuisine and wine, a high level of personal service and the best skiing.

The business has expanded steadily to include three catered chalets and one self-catered apartment.

At the outset, we chose Mottaret to build our own chalet because of its height and its excellent access to the other two valleys. Yankee Lodge and les Cîmes apartment are also both in Mottaret.  However, this year we are delighted with the addition to our portfolio of Dou du Pont, located right by the Chaudanne and Meribel’s main lifts.

Our chalets are carefully chosen for their quality, comfort and style.  To ensure that your every need is answered, each chalet has two staff members, one of whom is a trained chef.  All our staff members are handpicked for their friendly manner and their commitment to a high level of personal service.

On the slopes, Cyril Redon, who has worked with us and taught in the Three Valleys for many years, and his team at Original Ride, will provide you with a skiing experience without parallel.  Enjoy the best snow on slopes suited to your level without queuing, but with as much or as little tuition as you want.  All this and they’ll book you the best table in the best restaurant for lunch!

We will deal with all your enquiries and bookings personally.  We have been involved with Meribel as property owners for some twenty years and live in the area.  We have a wealth of knowledge and contacts to help you with airport transfers, ski lessons, equipment hire, childcare and any other issues.  If we don’t have the immediate answer to your question, we are bound to know someone who does!

For our French speaking visitors we have enlisted Cyril Redon, our Ski Instructor, to join us to take enquiries, bookings and answer any questions that may arise. With many years of experience in the Three Valleys and his knowledge of our Chalets he is well qualified to assist in the booking process.  As a native speaker this will offer our French visitors the best possible service.
