Meribel Mottaret is ideally situated and equipped to provide the type of open-air activity summer holiday that is now so popular. You can enjoy this superb resort from June to September in the comfort of Chalet Le Chardon Bleu.

Summer Activities Include:

Mountain biking along marked trails is now very popular and bikes are available for hire in the resort. Take a trip out with Meribike who offer day or half day accompanied trips for all levels from Expert to Beginner. The Three Valleys now has over 100kms of biking trails

White Water Rafting Take an amazing ride down the Doron river in an Inflatable - AN Rafting offer white water sports from 01 May - 30 September

Adventure Park Just a 10min walk from the Chalet you can test your agility skills and balance on the 150m long adventure course.  High up in the trees there are 4 circuits of increasing difficulty for adults and children.

Paragliding Take a Tandem Flight with a fully qualified instructor over the mountains, admire the fantastic views over the Three Valleys and towards the famous Mont Blanc.

Air Trampoline An amazing way to try out your acrobatic moves in complete dafety.  A Harness allows you to fly through the air performing summersaults and other acrobatic moves.  Children will love it !!

Other activities:-
Walking remains the most popular summer recreation and the Parc National de la Vanoise, which the resort borders, offers almost limitless hiking opportunities amidst unspoilt mountain landscape where the flora and fauna are protected. The scenery ranges from high meadows filled with Alpine flowers, through deep forests to rocky heights and almost desolate peaks and glaciers. During July and August lifts are open to give you greater access to the Three Valleys on foot and with your Mountain Bike.

Riding Treking is very popular, riding through valleys and on mountain trails the views are spectacular, and No Walking! You can book by the hour, half day or full day.  Formal Lessons are also available at the nearby Bois D'Arbin for both Adults and Children.  Just a 15min walk from the Chalet or 5min drive.

Mottaret centre has 4 tennis courts and a further 10 are to be found at the attractive Tennis Club of Meribel a few minutes drive away. Lessons and courses are available. The Riding centre, just 5mins drive from Mottaret on the way to Meribel offers hourly, half day and full day excursions on mountain tralis with spectacular scenery.  Lessons are also available for children and adults.

Summer ski-ing can be found at nearby Val Thorens and Val D'Isere.

Golfers needs are catered for at the Altiport some 15 minutes drive away. The superb 18 hole course in the most spectacular setting also has a putting green and driving range. The resident professional and his staff provide tuition. There is also a four star hotel beside the course which offers the golfer a superb lunch. Also at the Altiport is the airstrip where you can take a sight-seeing trip in a light aircraft.

The above activities are only available in July and August, although Golf is available from Mid-June. June and September are ideal for relaxing, walking and exploring the region.

There are restaurants and a range of shops in the resort but these are only open during July and August, however Moutiers in the valley provides a large range of shops and restaurants including two Supermarkets.

Day trips out - amongst the possible destinations for a day trip are the delightful city of Annecy with its famous lake and Little Venice, the spectacular Mont Blanc in Chamonix and the beautiful Aosta Valley just over the border in Italy.
