Something for everyone

There are many activities and facilities, both indoor and outdoor, for non skiers or if you fancy taking a day off from ski-ing to try something different, Meribel offers a wide range of activities to suit most people.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

The Olympic centre in Meribel has a fantastic 25m swimming pool with sauna, jacuzzi and whirlpool. Aqua Gym is also available every morning for those who want to stay or get fit! A skating rink is available for either free skating or you can take lessons, and the climbing wall again has the option of free climbing or having tuition. There is also a Bowling Alley for both afternoon and evening sessions.

The Chaudanne Hotel has the fabulous Ludicor health centre, offering massages, spa baths, beauty treatments, sauna & whirlpool, and squash. If you prefer you can book a private massage in the chalet with The Massage Company; see our Sports Therapy page.

There are cinemas in both Mottaret and Meribel, showing English and French films.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Walking on prepared and marked trails (20km), you can also include a Telecabine ride and walk at altitude or just join your ski-ing friends for Lunch in the Mountain Restaurants. It is also possible to ride the Telecabins direct from Mottaret to Courchevel and explore another Valley and meet your friends for Lunch.
A Pedestrian Lift Pass can be bought by the lift ride, daily or weekly.

Snow Shoe Outings
Outings either with or without a guide. Equipment is available for hire locally or you can join the ESF or Raquett Evasion and take a guided walk.
The cost includes equipment hire and refreshment !

Dog Sledding
Take part in a guided outing in the forests of Meribel Village. This is a very exhilarating way to see some spectacular scenery and great fun. You do need to be quite fit !
Cost:- Per Person
1 Hour : 50 Euros
Half Day : 100 Euros
Evening Outing : 50 Euros

Moto Neige
Take a ride on a Snow Scooter, driving or as a passenger, organised trips at three levels to suit all abilities are offered during the early evening and night-time.
Cost:- 1hr : From 70 Euros
There is also Mini Moto Neige especially for Children (from 10 Euros per session)

Parapenting/Paragliding
Take a twin flight with an Instructor from the Top of the Mountain and swoop over your ski-ing friends !
Cost:- Twin Flight : From 90 Euros

Mountain Flying
Explore the Alps from a light Aircraft. The Meribel Altiport offers Scenic Flights, minimum 2 people.
