The Ski-ing in Mottaret and The Three Valleys ... simply the best!
Meribel and Mottaret are situated at the very centre of The Three Valleys ski area and offer excellent ski-ing for all abilities with sunshine virtually all day! There are tree lined paths and nursery slopes for beginners, wide open red pistes for the Intermediates and plenty of challenging black runs and off piste for the advanced skier. Mottaret's central position offers the easiest and fastest access to the other resorts which make up the Three Valleys is still the biggest inter-linked ski area in the world and offering some of the world's best skiing, suitable for all levels.
The Three Valley Ski Slopes & Resorts
Courchevel with its wonderful cruising runs in the morning sunshine is just minutes away. Ski through the trees to La Tania, enjoy the wide-open slopes of Bel Air or, for the advanced skier, try the black runs, Suisse or M. For the thrill seekers there are always the Couloirs of Saulire, which will challenge even the expert!
Val Thorens is reached in well under an hour and offers an enormous area for every standard.The Belleville Valley is within easy reach and has lovely cruising runs in the afternoon sunshine.
Les Menuires and La Masse are reached in around half an hour via a direct Telecabine ride out of Mottaret. Les Menuires is suitable for all levels of skier, while La Masse is great for the intermediate to advanced skier with lots of superb off piste.
Off Piste ski-ing can be found right on your doorstep. Mont Vallon offers an immense area of varied off piste as does much of the Mottaret valley. Or go off the back of La Masse to link up with Val Thorens and return via the Cote Brune to Mottaret. A truly memorable experience, especially if you take a Guide from First Tracks.
The Three Valleys has an exceptional snow record. Thanks to its north-facing aspect and its 1,200 snow cannons, ski-ing is virtually guaranteed from Christmas to late April.
